Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you use TryU, we collect:

• Account information: email address and a hashed version of your 6-digit PIN. We never store your PIN in plain text.
• Room photographs: images you upload for visualization. These are stored on a secure cloud image service and linked to your account.
• Visualization outputs: the AI-generated room images, stored on a secure cloud image service.
• Payment information: processed by Razorpay. We store the transaction ID and amount but never your card number, UPI ID, or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay under their PCI-DSS compliance.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, error logs. Used to improve the service.

How We Use Your Data

• To generate room visualizations (the core service).
• To maintain your account and credit balance.
• To process payments via Razorpay.
• To display your visualization in the public gallery (only if you explicitly submit it and a moderator approves).
• To improve AI quality — we may use anonymised visualizations (with no personal information attached) to improve our models.
• To send transactional emails (payment receipts, account alerts). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure hosted in India and/or Singapore. Images are stored on secure cloud infrastructure with access-controlled URLs. Database records are stored on managed PostgreSQL with encrypted connections.

PINs are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12. Session tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes. We follow industry-standard practices for securing data at rest and in transit.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following categories of third-party providers, solely for delivering the service:

• AI service providers — room images and product reference images are processed by AI models to generate visualizations and room analysis.
• Cloud image storage — uploaded and generated images are stored on a secure cloud image delivery platform.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Cloud hosting — application and database hosting on managed infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for gallery submissions at any time.

Cookies

We use a single HTTP-only session cookie (tryu_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Children

TryU is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
